Project description

Calliper was appointed to do the planning and implementation for the replacement of a portion of the CATA Dam pipeline and the realignment of the existing pipeline.

Project objectives

  • New pipeline to replace the existing pipeline, which had reached the end of its useful life and suffered numerous pipe failures resulting in supply interruptions to some units of the irrigation scheme
  • Work done ensured a reliable bulk water supply to the Keiskammahoek irrigation scheme
