Project description

Calliper was appointed by Arengo 6 (Pty) Ltd to investigate the housing potential at the Kromdraai, Sterkfontein and Zwartkrans farms. The scope largely included an investigation of the water and sanitation bulk infrastructure component of the overall project.

Project objective

The objective of the study was to determine whether developing a new township and upgrading the existing housing would also improve water supply facilities on these farms with a preferred water supply such as the construction of a new bulk water pipeline, VIP sanitation system, or upgrading borehole water system.
