Project description
Calliper was appointed to conduct a site visit at the Twangiza Mining SA Tailings Management Facility (TMF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo to review available information and to compile a high-level site report to determine whether there was a need to extend the deposition of the tailings around the TMF basin.
Project objective
The purpose of the project was to determine if the extension of the deposition around the basin increased tailings cycle times, improved tailings density, beach formation and pool control.
