Implementation of Rasimone roads and stormwater Phase 2

Project description

The Rasimone roads and stormwater Phase 2 project entailed the construction of a total of 1.25km of internal roads paved with 60mm concrete interlocking paving blocks, 400m of lined open drainage channels and 50m of prefabricated concrete stormwater pipes.

Project objective

This project was initiated in partial fulfilment of the Government’s mandate to provide and continuously improve service delivery and the standard of living of its citizens.

Employment created

The project was designed to employ labour-intensive construction methods in order to be beneficial to the local community.

A total of 35 employees and three SMEs were absorbed into active employment, during which relevant skills related to road construction were transferred.
