Project description

This project focused on the design of the electrification reticulation network and street lighting network in Kya Sands. This project also involved the transfer of bulk supply to the point of connection of the proposed new electrification network. Calliper was appointed to do the planning and advising on the implementation of this project.

Project objective

The informal settlement was not currently electrified and there was a need to regularise and electrify the informal settlement as part of the Department of Human Settlements’ standards for provision of basic services.
