Project description
Calliper was appointed to conduct a status quo investigation of the Rust-Ter-Vaal and Boiketlong informal settlement to determine the number of households within the community. Calliper was also asked to provide a report on the level of infrastructure services in the community, including:
- Water and sanitation infrastructure
- Roads infrastructure
- Bulk electricity infrastructure
- Land ownership
- Future plans by the municipalities
Project objective
The Gauteng Partnership Fund identified several settlements for rehabilitation and sought to determine the size and extent of the settlements to establish what services would be required by the communities.
